Level 2 Water Shortage Alert
Declared
Watering restrictions will NOT be reduced to 1-day-per-week this winter from November through May. Since FPUD customers have done such a great job conserving water, the board
of directors voted to let customers continue watering 3 days per week during the
colder, rainier months.

Disposable does not always mean Biodegradable
The cause of a recent sewage spill reported near E Alvarado and Vine streets,
was found to be disposable wipes that had been flushed down a toilet. Many
of the disposable wipes on the market have an impermeable membrane that stops water
from getting through the sewer lines, thereby causing back-ups. These wipes are
not meant to be disposed of by flushing them down a toilet. If you use disposable
wipes, please read the label for proper disposle instructions. Thank you for your
help in keeping our parks and water ways safe from contamination.
